By Rail
Agra is an important railway station of Indian Central Railways and is served by Delhi-Mumbai. Delhi-Chennai and Delhi-Kolkata trunk lines. The two fastest connections from Delhi are the super-fast Shatabdi Express taking 2 hours and Taj Express taking 2.5 hours to reach Agra. Both the trains return to Delhi giving you a chance of day long excursion to Agra. Pre-paid taxis and auto rickshaws service are available outside the station.
By Road
Agra is on National Highway No.2 and is very well connected by a
road network. The National Highway from Delhi is a four-lane double
carriageway with very good, smooth surface catering to medium to heavy
traffic makes the four hour journey an enjoyable experience. Good
service station and fuel facility is available on the entire route.
Agra is also very well connected with bus services to all the major
centres in the region. Regular deluxe coach services operate between
Agra and Dekhi, Jaipur, etc. Distance fro Agra to some major cities
are : Delhi 206 km, Jaipur 230 km, Allahabad 433
km, Lucknow 370 km and Varanasi 565 km.
Taking up Government and authentic taxi or auto service outside the
airport or railway station is a sensible idea in Agra.

Paying according to the meter of taxi and auto is advisable while
travelling in Agra.
