Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

Fly into the capital city Delhi. From airport, transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: To Varanasi

The first day of the tour is all set to take you to some of the most important pilgrimage destinations of India. We leave early morning to the sacred city of Varanasi by flight. Within 1.30 hrs we will be in Varanasi. Transfer to a hotel for a little rest before sightseeing. In the second half of the day, we visit the city of Sarnath. It is an important place because it was here Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. In the evening, we come back to Varanasi and spend some quality time on the Ghats of Varanasi. Witness Aarti at the banks of River Ganges and get to know one of the most important ritual in Indian culture. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: To Bodhgaya (250 Km)

Wake up early so that you could catch the morning rituals on the Ghats of Varanasi. Enjoy a cool pleasant morning by the side of River Ganges for a splendid start to the day. After breakfast in the hotel, we proceed to Bodhgaya by rail. By late afternoon, we reach our destination where you will be transferred to the hotel for overnight stay. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 04: Bodhgaya Sightseeing

Today we cover all the sacred and important destinations of Bodhgaya. We take you to the UNESCO recognized World Heritage Site of Mahabodhi Temple where you can interact with the monks. Let the peaceful environment seep in and give you a feeling of purity and relaxation. On the backside of the temple is the famous Bodhi Tree under which Prince Siddhartha attained enlightenment and became Lord Buddha and gave birth to one of the biggest religions practiced today. There are many international monasteries and temples as well those are worth your time. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Bodhgaya - Nalanda - Patna (122 Km)

Early morning we leave for Patna. Enroute we visit the former seat of learning, Nalanda. One could see the ruins of the great Nalanda University which during its days of yore housed more than 2000 teachers and 10,000 students. By evening reach Patna. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Patna Sightseeing

Today we are all set for a sightseeing tour in Patna. The main attraction of the city is Golghar. The gigantic circular monument used to serve as a state granary during its early years. Climb to the top of the building and you could see a large part of Patna. Also visit the famous Harmandir Sahib, a revered Gurudwara. However the main attraction definitely is the Patna Museums. Every era of Patna History can be seen in Patna museums, displayed through textiles, coins and manuscripts. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: To Kushinagar And Vaishali

After a sumptuous breakfast, we leave for Vaishali. Vaishali is a tranquil and small town that is famous as the world's oldest republic state. Vaishali was a rich and important centre that is evident from the number of historical monuments here. Explore the many Buddha Stupas and the Ashoka Pillar. We then drive to Kushinagar where transfer to a hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: Kushinagar To Lumbini

Lumbini is among the most important Buddhist destination in the world as it is here that Lord Buddha was born. To see, there is a temple called Mayadevi Temple, Ashokan column and a Rummindei pillar. Evening we return back to Patna. Overnight stay at Patna.

Day 09: To Delhi - Onward Journey

Day 8 is the last day of this Solacing Buddhist Tour Package. Morning we will leave for Delhi from where you will move to your onward destination.
