About Narain Niwas Palace Narain Niwas Palace was built in the year 1928 by the
Thakur of Kanota, General Amar Singh. He was also the commander of
Jaipur and a close associate of Sawai Maharaja Man Singh, the then
ruler of Jaipur. The actual building work of the palace, which was
built as the countryside residence, was managed by Thakur Shivnath
Singh, brother of Amar Singh. The name Narain Niwas Palace draws its
name from their father, Thakur Narain Singh, who was equally renowned
administrative personality.
