Goa

Maldives

Not too far from the archipelago of Lakshadweep; nestles another set of islands which are nothing less than paradise themselves. Recognized as a separate state, Maldives comprises of 1,190 coral islands that are in a group of 26 atolls. However for administrative purposes, they have been divided into 20 districts. The natural beauty of the Maldives beaches has often made it to be referred to as the most romantic place in the world. The beaches are all so splendidly maintained that leaving them even after a long stay seems to be the hardest thing in the world to do. In the culture of Maldives, one can see an amalgamation of different civilizations. It is believed that the islands here got inhabited nearly 3000 years ago by people traveling from various countries. These infuses a special charm to the already unbelievably beautiful Maldives.

Although Maldives is an independent country, one need not have a visa to visit.
