The Island of Golden White

Bangaram island is famous for its teardrop shape along with silvery beaches and breathtaking coral reefs. The island is mostly inhabited except for handful of Bangaram resort staff staying here. Bangaram is one of the three islands that are open for international tourists . What attracts scores of travelers to Bangaram is adventure options and the exclusivity of the island. Bangaram is home to breathtaking variety of underwater life alongside the colorful coral reefs. The divers from around the world come to Bangaram island to experience and explore the one of its kind underwater world. The resort employs certified tutors who offer instructions on diving. Twice in a day, a group of divers cruise deep into the ocean for a plunge into the warmth of waters. clear blue They get to swim by the sides of sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, eels, and uncountable number of fishes. Snorkeling is another option for exploring the underwater life in the swallow lagoons.

Till date, 127 different species of birds have been spotted on the island. Swallows, golden plover, grey heron and egrets are few of the commonly found birds on the islands.

Bangaram island is situated some 10 Km north of Agatti and can be reached by taking a boat ride from Agatti island. For Accommodation, there is Bangaram Resort run by CGH Earth group of hotels, situated close to the beach. After a day full of adventure activities and loads of fun, you might be feeling a bit tired physically. To rejuvenate you and to get you back into the spirits, Bangaram resort offers you the option of Ayurvedic massage with separate facilities for men and women. The resort serves both local and international cuisines. There is well stocked bar as well in the resort.

On the entire island, there is just a small shop inside the resort that only provides with only basic necessities like soaps, shampoos, and mosquito repellents. It is advised that you carry all other items such as conditioners, sunblocks and moisturizers with yourself.
