• Tourist office at the entrance to the Ashok Beach Resort and another (TOPIC) at Hawah Beach Restaurant
• There are numerous moneychangers along the beach. Wilson Tourist Home has official moneychanging facilities as does Pournami Handicrafts.
• The post office is open daily 9 am to 5 pm
• Visit India at the beach end of Lighthouse Rd, is a travel agency that can arrange ticketing, tours, and car hire

Shopping

Kovalam Beach has craft and carpet shops (usually of Tibetan, Kashmiri and Rajasthani origin), clothing stores book exchanges, general stores, travel agencies, and even yoga schools. Beach vendors sell batik lungis (sarongs), beach mats, sun-glasses and leaf paintings.

By Air

The closest airport from Kovalam is around 16 km away in Thiruvanantpuram. Pre paid taxis are available to fetch you to Kovalam.

By Rail

The nearest railway station from Kovalam is Trivandrum Central which is 13 km away. Taxis are available to transfer you to Kovalam.

By Road

Kovalam is on NH47 Bypass, actually 13 km from NH-47 which runs from Salem to Kanyakumari via Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Allepey, Kollam and Trivandrum. Buses from the KSRTC Bus Stand in Kovalam run every fifteen minutes to Trivandrum.
