Entry Formalities

1. For Indian (Domestic) Tourists

They are required to obtain Inner Line Permit from any of the following :

a) Secretary (Political), Itanagar

b) Resident Commissioner, Arunachal Bhawan, New Delhi

c) Deputy Resident Commissioner, Arunachal Bhawan, Calcutta

d) Deputy Resident Commissioner, Arunachal Bhawan, Guwahati

e) Deputy Resident Commissioner, Shillong

f) Deputy Commissioner of district headquarters.

2. Average Duration Of Stay

According to validity of the Inner Line Permit.

3. For Foreign Tourists

a) Foreign Tourists intending to visit Arunachal Pradesh must obtain clearence from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

b) They are required to obtain Protected Area Permit (PAP) from the following authorities:

i) Home Commissioner, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.
ii) All FRROs at Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta, (Foreigners Regional Registration Officer)
iii) Chief Immigration Officer, Madras.
iv) All Indian Missions Abroad.

c) Application for PAP to Commissioner Home, AP may be obtained by enclosing the copy of the clearance from Home Ministry which should reach Commissioner Home, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar, one month ahead.

d) Passport and Visa number, Validity, Nationality, purpose of visit, period intended to remain in AP have to be quoted in the application form for PAP along with 2 (two) nos of passport size photograph.

e) Minimum of four and maximum of fourteen tourists can visit at a time.

f) After clearing the above formalities, the tour operators from outside AP must come through local tour Operators.

g) Tourists visiting AP on their own arrangement will have to pay US $50 by head. In case all arrangements like fooding, lodging, transportation, etc have to be borne by the Government, they will be required to pay 150 US$ per day, per head.
